Solskjaer heaps praise on Bruno Fernandes’ decision-making in training

Prior to that game, Solskjaer has heaped praise on the former Sporting man, who has shown plenty of promise with his decision-making in the warm-weather training camp in Marbella, he told: “Well, overall, he [Fernandes] is a very, very good footballer and his brain is obviously quicker than many others. He has got loads of attributes that we are going to get used to. We will get used to him and he will get used to us. His passing range, his deliveries, his movements, I am just pleased to see him here enjoying himself.”

Fernandes made a positive beginning against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford this month and he managed to have five attempts on goal during the opening half. However, he was shifted from the number 10 to a central midfield role after the break and that contributed to the dip in his performance as he lost possession on a number of occasions.

The decision was made due to Andreas Pereira’s struggles in the centre of the park but United will be able to solve the problem after the break with Nemanja Matic back from a one-game suspension while Scott McTominay is close to making his comeback after a knee ligament injury.

The Scotland international has started training aside from the main group and Solskjaer has cited that the midfielder could join for the full training sessions before Monday’s Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge. United are unbeaten in the past five meetings against Chelsea and they have won both of their encounters this season.
