DAVID BECKHAM BACKS MOURINHO TO LIFT THE PREMIER LEAGUE
Former Manchester United player David Beckham has come out to declare his support for Manchester United and the coach Jose Mourinho, and saying that they will win the Premier League in his opinion in light of the quality of experience at the club on and off the pitch.
The player who recently appeared on a Sky Sports advert ahead of the new season in the English Premier League made his opinion public in an interview with Sky Sports. The former Real Madrid star spoke of how exciting the new season would be with many top managers now in the League.
He started with his opinion of what happened in the Premier League in the last campaign where Leicester City won the League despite the odds. The player who has won six premier League titles with Manchester United said he had never seen a season like the last one. He said there were always shock defeats but that no team stayed and played together till the end like how Leicester did in the last campaign. He said the coach Claudio Ranieri and his players deserved every bit of the prize.
On if there would be more surprises, the player said he wasn’t sure but that the season will be very exciting nonetheless. He said the current crop of top managers in the League will definitely be something to look out for. With Pep Guardiola at City, Conte at Chelsea, Klopp at Liverpool and Mourinho at Man United, that the season will definitely be a cracker.
He said he was a huge fan of Mourinho and backs him to become a success at the club and when asked who would win the league, he said “I am going to have to say United. I will always be on that side of the fence.” He said the United was the biggest club in the world and expects them to win.
