Paul Ince says he prefers watching Chelsea over Manchester United
Manchester United legend Paul Ince has said that he prefers watching Chelsea over the Red Devils in action this season. Frank Lampard and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been backed to manage the Blues and Red Devils respectively this term and so far, the results have been neck and neck in the league with eight points apiece.
“At least when I look at Chelsea, I see what they’re trying to do, the way they play, their identity – they’re pressing high, getting tight and creating chances. They can only get better. Can anybody tell me what United are trying to do? Because I have no idea. They’re so reliant on the young lad Daniel James – who is brilliant, but was in the Championship with Swansea last season – it’s crazy,” he concluded.”
The Blues started the campaign in the worst possible fashion as they suffered a heavy 4-0 league defeat at Old Trafford. However, they have since improved on their performances and the likes of Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori have caught the attention of the fans and pundits alike. In comparison, things have gone downhill for the Red Devils and they have managed just one league triumph since the drubbing of the west London giants.
That has mostly resulted from the limited creativity upfront where they have largely relied on Daniel James to make the difference. The Welshman only joined the club from Swansea City last summer but he has already become the key contributor under Solskjaer with three goals from the opening six league appearances. Manchester United are scheduled to face Rochdale during the midweek League Cup third round tie at Old Trafford.
